Elopement Planning: How I Earned $123,300 in Three Months
For many couples, the idea of an elopement or micro-wedding is becoming increasingly attractive.
It’s no surprise why: due to COVID, inflation, and a smorgasbord of other reasons, more and more people are looking to downsize their wedding budgets and plans and focus on just the two of them in an affordable yet meaningful way. This has led to a surge in demand for the services of elopement planners and micro-wedding planners — professionals who specialize in planning smaller weddings that don’t compromise on love or quality.
I started my first elopement business thirteen years ago. Back then, being a full-time elopement planner just wasn't a thing. I was patted on the head many times and told how cute I was. “Good luck,” they’d say with a condescending chuckle.
Luck has nothing to do with it. I saw where the market was going and wanted to be there when it hit.
Fast forward to today, and my gamble has paid off: my business regularly brings in over $400,000 in revenue annually. Just this past fall – my busiest season of the year – we brought in almost $123,300 between the beginning of September and the end of November.
