I ignore pretty much all of it. These people either usually have an agenda of some sort and selectively remember/forget parts of their past that supports their agenda. OR they have never experienced pain, loneliness, sadness, etc. before and think their reactions will always be perfect and align with whatever “rose-colored glasses” world they wish existed.

Either way, their input is meaningless to me. I really love the people who are banged and bruised and say something like, “Maybe not the route I would have taken, but I can’t say for sure.” Then the people who say, “I’ve been there. I understand. I wish you peace.” Those are the angels among us.
