The Books I Read in 2023
Like every year, 2023 had me alternating between fiction and nonfiction.
This structured approach has unexpectedly led me to a deep appreciation for U.S. history, particularly the era from 1914 to 1932 — a time when the world teetered on the brink of cataclysmic changes.
This year, my nonfiction reading continued to explore this fascinating period. I even wrote an article about this period!
However, my normal pattern, though, was disrupted a bit by getting sucked into Stephen King’s Bill Hodges/Holly Gibney series. I couldn’t wait to get started on the next one, so I ignored my nonfiction list for a while this year.
